About
Born in Vancouver, Denise has been writing in-between other priorities since her university days, when she studied English lit, psychology and art. She is still fascinated by history, art, human nature, and the power of words to move and inform.
Now she happily is able to dedicate more of her personal time to writing poetry and essays, and to producing books to share with those who are curious. Her essays are philosophical and succinct, sometimes light hearted, sometimes serious. Her poetry is layered but accessible, weaving themes of love, loss, and the solace of nature with her experiences of joy and finding meaning in life.

It was a complete joy to share my personal challenges and learning experiences expressed in this collection of personal essays. It was entirely cathartic and healing to write. I hope it sparks some good conversations. I also learned something about publishing, and so hope to build on this foundation over the next few years.
